The Writing to Inspire e-zine goes out tonight (so if you haven’t subscribed and would like to receive it click here), which means I’m sitting here at my desk updating everything, including the dates for the Writing to Inspire online writing courses.

It’s an exciting week here in my office. In fact there are so many fun things falling into place that I almost don’t know what to tell you about first.

If you’re looking for a local writing conference to go to next month I can recommend this one (if previous years are anything to go by).

However, if I ever needed proof that I was in the right business, I’ve been so eager to get back to work for the last week or so that I’ve been planning a stack of new and exciting changes/additions for this year. I’m just working on the final stages of competitions, online course dates, looking for workshop venues, and no end of other stuff.

Just in case, on the off chance, that there might possibly be writers or aspiring writers in Perth who don’t know about the Perth Writers Festival on this weekend the details are below

I know the first time I played with the idea of publishing my own book I was swamped and overwhelmed. I would have given anything to have an honest, unbiased, successfully self-published writer to lead me through the minefield.

If you had the opportunity of going on a writing retreat what would be the most important (and decision-making) aspects for you?

I know it’s kind of short notice, but I’ve got a couple of great 8 week courses starting on Monday. Normally I would give more warning than this, as most of you would know, but the opportunity was just to great to pass up.
