Creating an ebook cover

Creating a cover for an ebook has subtle differences to creating one for a paper or hardback, not least the fact that most ebook covers need to have an impact even when they are in black and white.

Paragraph format for ebooks

To indent or not to indent, that is the question. As I’m going through the second final edit of my ebook, I’m not only looking at the words but also considering the page layout, and the question of paragraph formatting comes to mind.

I’m delighted to say that the Writing to Inspire site is now set up for writers to post their work online. What’s more there’s also a facility that allows readers, other writers, friends and family to offer comments and feedback. How exciting is that?

How do you feel about your work once you’ve submitted it for publication or to a competition? Are you anxious, waiting to hear back? Do you just forget about that piece of work and move on to the next? Or are you somewhere in between?

Do you know which is your primary sense in your writing?

n every day life almost all of what we know and assume is absorbed through what we see, hear, taste, touch and smell. The challenge though is that we all have a primary sense, a few that are average and one sense that definitely lags behind.
